About this product

Staff, student, and visitor ID cards all come from the same body: 760-micron PVC, edge-to-edge print, protective laminate. What sets them apart is variable data — each card is printed with that person's photo, name, title, and ID number. Send us the list as an Excel file and the cards come back printed with names already on them; a barcode, QR code, or contactless chip can also be added so the same card doubles as an access card. If it's going on a lanyard, the hole position is placed to match the design.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions about Plastic ID Cards. If you don't find your question here, you can call us.

Can every card be printed with a different photo and name?

Yes, that's the standard approach. Variable-data printing puts each person's photo, name, title, and ID number on their own card. Send the list as an Excel file and the photos in a folder named by person, and we'll handle the matching.

Can an ID card double as an access card?

Yes. A barcode, magnetic stripe, or contactless chip is added to the card, so staff show their ID and pass through the turnstile with the same card. Tell us the brand of your current access system and we'll pick a compatible chip.

Can I order a single card for a new employee?

We produce in batches of 10 and multiples of 10. For organizations that hire continuously, our advice is to print a stock of blank, numbered cards in the first order and use them as new staff join.

How long does the card last?

The 760-micron PVC body and laminate hold up for years under daily use. If the card gets presented to a reader many times a day, using a card sleeve protects the print and the edges and noticeably extends its life.
