About this product
Hotel locks, parking barriers, POS terminals, and most existing access systems still run on magnetic stripes. The stripe is embedded into the card body during production, not glued on afterward, so it doesn't lift at the edge. Encoding can be done at our facility, or, if you prefer, the stripe is delivered blank and you write to it on your own system.

Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions about Magnetic Stripe Cards. If you don't find your question here, you can call us.
What's the difference between HiCo and LoCo magnetic stripes?
HiCo (2750 Oe) is high-coercivity — it doesn't erase easily from a phone, a bag magnet, or everyday friction, which is what you need for a card that stays in constant use. LoCo (300 Oe) is cheaper and better suited to short-term, single-use jobs.
Do you encode the magnetic stripe card yourselves?
Either works. We can write the data at our facility and deliver the card ready to use, or leave the stripe blank and ship it to you so you can encode it on your own system.
How many tracks can be encoded?
Track 1, 2, and 3 can all be encoded. Which track you actually use is determined by your card reader and software; if that isn't documented for your system, we test it on a sample.
Is the magnetic stripe glued onto the card afterward?
No. The stripe is embedded into the card body during production and pressed in together with the laminate. That's why it doesn't lift at the edge or bubble up.
